Through the Youth Climate Leadership Program, Taylor and Jenny have been able to merge their passions about food resiliency, urban agriculture and the disproportionate impacts of the climate change crisis on communities of colour, as well as learning more about low-waste living to create Many Green Hands. This initiative aims to encourage people in the community to learn how to participate in at home gardening by providing shared resources, information and support on food growing through workshops and community events.

Starting with York University as a model system, Many Green Hands aims to help students learn how to take care of their own mini food gardens by providing them with resources, connections and support. Ultimately, this initiative hopes to increase access to sustainable, healthy food sources in a fun and engaging way.
