Sylvie hosted an online open jam for emerging artists aged 16-29 who live or work in the East Toronto area to network, exchange resources and brainstorm different ways they can show up for environmental and social justice in their practice. Ideas generated from this event will be shared publicly via Instagram and with local arts service organizations to help inform their future program planning.
Sylvie is a Scarborough-based multidisciplinary artist, creative facilitator and project manager with a passion for sustainable making. Through YCI’s Youth Climate Leadership Program, Sylvie hopes to connect with other youth who are interested in raising awareness of environmental issues through the arts and further exploring how to integrate natural materials into their work.
