Reinald

Reinald and his team created Modern Reductions, a project with the goal of helping people reduce their carbon emission footprint through changes in their home and lifestyle. With the City of Toronto’s existing plans to improve the energy efficiency of their housing stock, the project aims to amplify the city’s impact and explore how lifestyle changes can support this goal by creating and posting educational material through the Modern Reductions Instagram account.

Reinald currently resides in Scarborough and is deeply interested in the adaptive and mitigative solutions for climate change in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). He is inspired by the challenge of transitioning to net-zero and beyond while continuing to improve the global standard of living. With support from YCI’s Youth Climate Leadership Program, he hopes to apply his knowledge in a way that can meaningfully contribute towards this overall objective at the community level.
