Megan created Green Urban Revitalization (GreenUR) to engage high school youth in experiential education on waste management through the topics of fast fashion and consumerism. Seeing a gap in Ontario’s curriculum, the project aims to engage students in workshops and activities where they can act and speak as global citizens, putting the power of innovative solution-building in their hands.
Megan lives in Brampton and will be graduating from York University with a degree in Environmental Politics and Justice. She is passionate about environmental education and hopes to engage high school youth in Peel Region on waste management topics with a focus on fast fashion and textile waste.
