Marina created Camp AWARE, a virtual camp for youth in Grades 4-6 in the GTHA to learn about climate change through the elements of nature: Air, Water, Earth and Fire. The summer camp aims to increase youth’s understanding of climate change beyond what is taught in the school curriculum and to empower youth to become proactive problem-solvers to re-imagine a climate change future.
Marina is representing Peel Region. She is really excited to channel her passion for the environment and create an awareness camp through her involvement in YCI’s Youth Climate Leadership Program. She hopes to further expand the program and adapt its content for various age groups.
