Kanisha looks beyond the climate crisis as a “systemic issue and acknowledges its destruction as an inherently violent, embodied process which must be understood through individuals own lived experiences.” She’s creating a platform of coalitions that can speak to the consequences of this. These coalitions will be built through digital means – leveraging technologies such as Zoom and Discord to host sessions and spaces for dialogue and WordPress for collaborative communication and community building. This includes sharing resources such as guides, facilitation toolkits, ideas and strategies for action, as well as documenting and archiving conversations through oral histories, storytelling, performance and art.
