Atlantic Whitefish (AWF), Coregonus huntsmani, are an endangered species endemic to Nova Scotia’s Petite Rivière, with 13 remaining individuals. AWF populations are impacted by ecosystem quality, reduced genetic diversity, and invasive bass and salmon populations. We aim to incite public action and awareness through accessible scientific information, and a public artistic mural. Our target audience is conservation-centric individuals who understand the importance of local endangered species and their ecosystems.
This project aims to donate $1000 to further research and rehabilitation and promote an online resource base via LinkTree. By creating accessible resources, we aim to simplify self-education and interaction.
