The Sustainable 6ix are replicating the “Roncy Reduces” Bring-Your-Own (BYO) container program in Bloor West Village. The program engages businesses to place a sticker in their window encouraging patrons to bring their own containers and bags. Their goal is to inform, educate and inspire the community make sustainable choices through outreach and workshops, as well as to pilot new ways of reducing plastic waste. Through community events and BYO container sticker program, they are promoting small behavioural changes in Bloor-West that will lead to more conscious consumerism and lower-waste habits for the community overall while creating an environment that’s easy for consumers to shop in an environmentally responsible way.
