Greener Spaces is creating youth and community awareness for zero carbon buildings. Many do not know what they are and how they function which can create challenges for the region’s building revitalization and new construction. Greener Spaces is addressing this knowledge gap through surveys, focus groups and public presentations across Peel region communities to help educate about the importance of green development practices. Residential and commercial buildings emit a significant amount of greenhouse gas emissions. With public support to ensure the adoption of green development practices, zero carbon buildings will become a norm and ultimately reduce Peel’s carbon footprint. Learn more >
