Green Beans

‘The Grocer’s Gambit’ is a board game that encourages kids to reflect on their everyday food consumption by teaching them the importance of human health, local economy and the environment in a way that is easy to understand and apply to their own lives. Green Beans is creating a board game called ‘The Grocer’s Gambit’ to educate youth about the carbon footprint and environmental impact of a standard diet compared to a diet of locally grown foods. The board game will introduce the large-scale problem of sustainable agriculture to Markham residents and encourage players to consume more local food.
