2011-2012 Youth Innovator OpportunitiesYouth Challenge International (YCI) is recruiting six Youth Innovators for a variety of individual and small-team partner capacity building projects in Tanzania and Ghana during 2011- 2012.
These exciting Youth Innovator opportunities will include a pre-project distance-learning program, followed by intensive four to eight-week placements in the Fall of 2011 and the Winter of 2012. While in country, Youth Innovators will work with YCI’s field staff and local partner organizations to help build partner capacity in a variety of technical skills.
Gain experience working directly with YCI staff and partners to implement CIDA programming objectives and improve your project management and implementation skills while working in an international context.
This year, YCI is looking for individuals ages 21 and older with education and/or minimum 1 year professional work experience in the following sectors:
• Human Resources • Financial Management • Proposal Writing • Graphic Design • Website Design and IT Experience • Small Enterprise Development • Gender
Youth Innovator placements will be recruited on a rolling basis with flexible start and end dates. Previous international volunteer or work experience is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
Volunteers will be expected to cover their own airfare, vaccinations and travel insurance. Local accommodation, transport and food costs will be covered by YCI in country.
