December 9, 2008 - In Memory of Murray Harris
Youth Challenge International is saddened to hear of the passing of Murray Harris, former Project Manager in Guyana, member of Youth Challenge Australia, and former staff member of Youth Challenge International. Murray passed away from natural causes on December 5th, 2008.

Murray had been living in India and most recently held the post of Counsellor (Political) and Head, Public Affairs, at the Australian High Commission in New Delhi. Prior to joining Foreign Affairs, Murray was a Senior Analyst for South Pacific issues at the Office of National Assessments, and Country Program Manager at the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID). He was also involved with Australian-led Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI) since its inception.

Murray's wife, Meg, has asked that donations be made in memory of Murray to local Indian charities with a focus on women and children. Murray also leaves behind children Jonty, Harley and Ned.
