Volunteering with YCI is an exceptional way to make a difference by working directly with local youth.

This application will be used to assess whether an applicant is suitable as a volunteer for YCI’s programs as well as to place applicants on the project that will best suit their skills, experience and interests. Project Related Knowledge, Experience and Expectations

Volunteering with YCI provides you with an opportunity to experience the life changing power of peer-to-peer youth development and gain valuable international work experience. Consider the variety of YCI programs addressing issues of youth leadership, health and livelihoods, partner capacity building or building and infrastructure and then consider your role as a participant on a YCI project.

Interview Scheduling

Please indicate your first and second time preference for an interview. All interviews are conducted over the phone and take between 20 and 30 minutes. We are ONLY able to conduct interviews on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10:00am and 12:00pm noon EST and 1:30pm and 3:30pm. If none of these times work with your schedule, please select “Other” and we’ll be in touch with you to book a time that does.

Please note that Youth Discovery candidates are only required to submit a written application and will not take part in the phone interview process.

Once we receive your application, we will contact you via email within one to two days to book a phone interview. We will then call you during your scheduled interview time. At this time, you will also be expected to submit a copy of your resume. And don’t forget to have two references handy, as well!
