YCI operates primarily in two regions – Africa and the Americas. In Africa we work in Tanzania, Kenya and Ethiopia in East Africa and Ghana in West Africa. In the Americas we work in Costa Rica and Guatemala in Central America, Guyana in South America and Grenada in the Caribbean. We also have one project in the South Pacific in Vanuatu. Our projects focus on local youth involvement and aim to address the issues youth face. Depending on the country focus these issues can range from HIV/AIDS education to youth skills training to environmental restoration. The projects are always identified and led by local partners knowledgeable in the local needs and conditions.
